Frozen Lu Wei delivery: what to do on arrival
The first hour after your frozen braised-food delivery arrives matters most. This guide covers the arrival checklist, immediate storage, and thawing basics — with storage and reheating details in their own guides.
Direct answer
Do three things when frozen Lu Wei arrives: inspect — verify items against your order, check that vacuum seals are intact with no damage or swelling, and confirm the products are still cold, reporting any issue within 24 hours per the shipping policy; store — move each product immediately to the freezer or fridge as its own label states, never leaving the box at room temperature; and when eating — thaw and reheat per the label, with fridge thawing generally safer than room temperature. This guide covers arrival; see the storage guide and reheating guide for the rest.
Scope: the first hour after delivery
This guide handles what happens after the courier box reaches your hands. For longer-term storage principles see the Lu Wei storage guide; for choosing and using reheating methods see the reheating guide. The three complement each other without repeating content.
Step one: inspect the box
Open the box promptly after signing. Verify the items against your order; check every pack for intact vacuum seals, damage or abnormal swelling; confirm the products are still cold.
Under the current shipping policy, if you find wrong items, damaged packaging or abnormal condition, photograph the state and report within 24 hours so it can be handled. See the shipping and returns policy page for details.
- Verify items against the order
- Check seals and packaging
- Confirm products are still cold
- Report issues within 24 hours
Step two: store immediately
Once checked, store each product immediately at the temperature its own label states — freezer if marked frozen, fridge if marked chilled. Labels can differ between items, so do not treat the whole box the same way.
The goal is minimizing room-temperature exposure. Per Taiwan FDA guidance, vacuum packing is not preservation — cold is. The courier box and ice packs only cover transit; they do not replace a refrigerator.
Step three: thawing and reheating basics
Follow the package label for thawing. Where the label is silent, the general principle is fridge thawing over room temperature — move the product to the refrigerator to thaw slowly.
Reheat until thoroughly hot before serving; whether the pouch itself can be heated, and which appliance suits, follow the label and the reheating guide. Handle only the portion you plan to eat, avoiding repeated thawing.
Common questions
These answers are visible guidance, not FAQ rich-result markup.
What if the packaging is damaged or items are wrong on arrival?
Photograph the condition first, then report within 24 hours of delivery through the site’s contact channels with your order number and photos. Full handling is described on the shipping and returns policy page.
Can frozen Lu Wei thaw at room temperature?
Not recommended. Room-temperature thawing keeps food too long in the bacteria-friendly temperature zone. Thaw slowly in the refrigerator as the general rule; follow the package label where it specifies otherwise.
How soon should delivered products go into the fridge?
As soon as possible. Insulated packaging only maintains temperature during transit. Open, inspect and store per each label promptly after signing — do not leave the box out until convenient.
